Our Commitment to Halal

and the Muslim Community

At Gangnam Spice, we believe food should bring people together—across cultures, backgrounds, and communities. As a Korean street food restaurant, we are proud to welcome and serve our Muslim guests with care, honesty, and respect.

Halal-Certified Chicken

All of the chicken served at Gangnam Spice is halal-certified and sourced from suppliers that follow halal slaughter standards. We take this responsibility seriously and work closely with our vendors to ensure our chicken meets halal requirements.

Transparency Matters

While our chicken is halal-certified, please note that Gangnam Spice as a restaurant is not currently halal-certified. Full halal certification involves inspections and audits by a recognized halal authority, and we want to be fully transparent about where we are today.

Learning, Listening, and Improving

We see serving the Muslim community as an ongoing learning process. We actively listen to feedback, educate ourselves, and explore ways to improve how we serve our halal-conscious guests—including learning more about halal certification and best practices for small businesses.

You Are Always Welcome

Gangnam Spice is a space for community. Whether you're joining us for Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, or a casual meal with friends and family, we want you to feel welcomed, respected, and cared for.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss our halal practices further, please don't hesitate to ask a team member or reach out to us directly.

Thank you for trusting us—we're grateful to serve you.
